Most business people keep promotional products an average of 9 months, and many for much longer. For instance, logoed bags and coffee mugs are generally kept for over a year. Think about how often an individual might use a bag or coffee cup: that translates into a lot of brand exposure.
5. People keep items that are useful
If you are trying to find the right product for your next campaign, consider the fact that people are more likely to hold on to the product for a long time if it is useful. Items like bags, pens, mugs and drink bottles are kept for a long time because people use them over and over again. Pick a product that is useful and it will have staying power and your logo or message will be around a lot longer than an ad in the paper, or on TV.
