Are You Looking For Different Ways To Promote Your Business Or Organization? So Why SHOULD You Use Promotional Products?
Are you confused about all of the different methods of getting your message seen and your logo noticed? There are 10 findings that may explain why promotional items are so powerful. Here are the first 5:
1. People remember Items they have received
|Can a typical consumer remember the advertiser on a TV commercial they watched even this morning? That’s doubtful, especially if they use a recorder to bypass the commercials. But they’re much more likely to recall the advertiser on a promo product they have in their possession.
81% in a recent survey said they remember the advertisers on products they have, and that number is even higher for certain products.
88% of those who owned hats that had a logo easily recalled the advertiser on that cap.
2. More favourable impression after receiving
46% of business people have a more favourable impression of an advertiser after receiving the item.
That’s right, nearly half of the business people who receive a promo item from a company will think more favourably of that company after receiving the item.
This number is even higher for certain products such as bags, shirts and caps. Add some of these products to your next marketing campaign, and you can be sure your stock goes up with customers and prospects.
3. More chance of new or repeat business
Most business people have done business with the advertiser after receiving the item.
How can a marketer be sure that when they spend money sending a client or prospect a promotional item, they’ll actually hear from that client or prospect again? According to this study, they can be fairly sure. 71% have done business with the advertiser on a promotional item after receiving the item. So by sending them a promo item you are either enhancing a relationship or creating a new one.
4. Promotional Products have staying power
Think your client threw away the pen you sent him last week? That's doubtful, according to the new study. Most business people keep promotional products an average of 9 months, and many for much longer. For instance, logoed bags and coffee mugs are generally kept for over a year. Think about how often an individual might use a bag or coffee cup: that translates into a lot of brand exposure.
5. People keep items that are useful
If you are trying to find the right product for your next campaign, consider the fact that people are more likely to hold on to the product for a long time if it is useful. Items like bags, pens, mugs and drink bottles are kept for a long time because people use them over and over again. Pick a product that is useful and it will have staying power and your logo or message will be around a lot longer than an ad in the paper, or on TV.
